Fresh lime juice is one of the keys to a great margarita (I always add a dash of orange juice, too). Fresh lime juice also requires juicing some limes.
When the juice and oils of citrus fruit can seep into our skin, it amplifies the effect of the sun on our skin. When paired with drinking outdoors, this can lead to a sunburn-like affliction appropriately called, Margarita Burn (or phytophotodermatitis, if you want to get technical).
Margarita Burn is worse than a bad sunburn, and can result in extremely uncomfortable blistering. Doctors recommend a thorough hand washing between juicing citrus and being outdoors for awhile.
